Beattie Chicks Art Night

I hope you are all as impressed as Leslie and I are - at how great everyone did at our needle felted decoration class. Honestly Leslie and I were a little unsure as what to expect. This weeks class had a lot of people that we did not know well in it. We had no idea as to what their experience was or to their interests. And we didn't know how they would work together. Yippee for us and for another night of great woman and fun art.

I'm Back!

I am ready to be a consistent blogger. I talked to my good friend Joan, while at the lake, and feel like I have a plan to give my crafting world my attention. I participated in the Harpswell Festival this past Sunday and inspite of the rain had a great day. I love living here so much. To be able to be at a festival and see so many people that I know (and like). I feel truly blessed.

I was able to earn enough $ to pay off the tent I had to buy for all my shows. Yippee. Monday I jumped right in and had my first week of Girl Time Art Camp. The camp filled up and we are having a blast. Each girl is so truly amazing. I so love this age (9 to 12). Well....let me clarify. I love this age to teach and get to know....I find it challenging as a mother. All of my art girls save all that emotional stuff for their mommas and I get the enjoyable time. We wrap up tomorrow with an art show and I will post pics.

Bunnies in waiting....

I have been having a blast making bunnies.  They just can't seem to get past this point.  I think it is the whole hand stitching thing.  I have always  made it up as I go and it intimidates me a little.  Tomorrow....they will get eyes and maybe whiskers.  They have great tails already.

  I have been going to my friend Jen's site ListPlanIt.com and downloading some of her great lists.  Not only am I trying to clean out my house, but trying to be more productive in my studio.  I have actually crossed a few things off and it is only Wednesday.

Pandas, owls and dolls oh my!

I can can't seem to put the pictures where I want them.  Would love to hear from someone who is better experienced.  

I have spent a lot of time sewing and needle felting since I got back from CA.  I was so inspired in CA, but had to get ready for the Chinese New Year celebration that was held yesterday.  I had a great day.  Heidi and I  sold a lot of dolls and pandas.  I was very excited that all of my needle felted pandas sold.  Bart got a few pictures first and I will upload them to the computer to share.  I saved out this little owl to add to Emelia's owl collection.  Or at least I say that....I think I really liked him too.  While Bart and the girls enjoyed watching the dancing, I got to meet a lot of great families as well as see some of the old families I use to work with when I was an adoption social worker.  I sure do miss that work.    Crafting does take a close second though.
